2. What we collect

Only what is needed to come out to you and to do the job. That normally means:

• Your name
• Your phone number, and your email address if you give one
• Where you and the vehicle are
• What has happened to the vehicle, and where it needs to go
• Anything else you choose to put in a message or tell us on the phone
• Basic website usage information (pages visited, browser and device type), but only if you accept cookies

We do not ask for, and do not want, any more than that. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

3. How we collect it

When you call or text 07394 784531, when you fill in the enquiry form on this website, or when you message us on social media.

4. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To answer your enquiry and carry out the recovery or job you asked for. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one.
• To keep basic records of jobs done, for accounts and insurance. Lawful basis: legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in running the business properly.
• To understand how the website is used so it can be improved. Lawful basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it to send you marketing you did not ask for.

5. Who else sees it

Enquiries sent through the form on this website are handled by Orchestrix (Alex Sais, Nottingham), who built and host this site, acting as our data processor. The enquiry is stored on Orchestrix’s systems and emailed straight to us. Beyond that, your information may be shared with:

• a garage, storage yard or other destination you have asked us to take the vehicle to;
• your insurer or the police, where a job requires it or the law does;
• our accountant, and our own insurer, where relevant.

Analytics providers (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) receive website usage data only if you accept cookies. Some of those providers process data outside the UK, under the safeguards required by UK data protection law.

6. Cookies

This website sets no analytics or marketing cookies until you accept them. If you accept, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Advertising storage is switched off in both. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: Cookie settings.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into a job are deleted within 12 months. Records of work carried out are kept for six years, which is the period required for tax and accounting purposes and the period in which an insurance question could still arise.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
• have inaccurate information corrected;
• ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, certain uses of your information;
• withdraw consent for cookies and analytics at any time.
