We’ve been around cars our whole lives and we still love them. That is the actual reason this business exists: not because recovery looked like a decent trade, but because we would rather spend the day around cars than anywhere else, even when the car in question is upside down in a ditch at two in the morning.
It also means we know how it feels to be the one standing at the side of the road with the hazards on, watching traffic go past. Nobody rings a recovery service on a good day. So the job is not just moving the vehicle, it is turning up when we said we would and being straight with you about what happens next.
We look after your car like it’s our own, because that is how we would want ours treated. If you want to talk cars while we wait for the winch to do its work, even better.
How it works
What happens when you ring
You tell us where you are and what has happened. We tell you what it will cost and roughly how long we will be — a real number for that job, not a window that quietly stretches all evening. Then we come and get you.
If it is something we can fix at the roadside, that is what happens and there is no recovery needed. If it is not, the same call-out becomes a recovery, so you are not paying twice or waiting for a second vehicle.
Straight answers
What we won’t do
We will not quote you one price on the phone and another on the driveway. We will not tell you we are twenty minutes away when we are an hour away. And if a job is not right for us — wrong vehicle, wrong equipment, too far to be fair on you — we will say so rather than take it on badly.
A one-man business only works on repeat calls and word of mouth. That is the whole business model, and it is why the straight answer is always the cheaper one for us in the end.
